I hope you've had a chance to read through your copy of "Engineer + Enthusiast = Excitement". Scott and I would like to hear from you. What did you like? What did you wish was covered? How were the photos?

Please post your comments (click on 'Comments' below). Thanks!

I own a limited edition 2001 mustang that I am the third owner of. When I was in high school, I was immersed in the book "Iron Fist, Lead Foot" which is the book about the production of the 2003/2004 cobra mustang. I think I fell in love with the whole new edge body style then. When I found out that there was going to be a Bullitt book...well, you can only imagine how the teenager inside me reacted. I was ecstatic!!! I was also fortunate enough to have my book signed by both Tony and Scott. Upon completing "engineer+enthusiast=excitement!" I have a whole new appreciation for my 2001 Bullitt Mustang, not to mention it re-kindled that love and excitement I have for it, like the first day I took it home. This book is an easy and excellent read and it was exactly what I needed in my car hobby life.

I agree, if you own one of these cars and are even just a touch of an auto enthusiast you have to own this book. Lots of good info and things I never knew in a very well done book.

When do we get the audio version with Samuel L Jackson?? :-)

Just some background on the Zinc Yellow Mach1 on the cover. Yup I was lucky enough to get my car on the cover and I didn't have to pay anyone... lol The cover photo was taken at Lake Nockamixon in Pennsylvania. I enjoyed driving to the lake with my 2 sons who happened to be seated in the car when I was taking the photo. It was about an hour ride each way from my house to the lake. This is the Lake that we also had as a starting point for the Covered Bridge runs I used to put together back in the mid 2000's last one we did was in 2010. Chances are this photo was taken during one of my recon runs. I would go up a few weeks before the run and make sure the roads were clear and that someone didn't try burning down one of the bridges. Behind Scott Hoag's photo is actually a sail boat that's covered by his photo. Today my sons no longer fit in the back seat and are now driving the Mach 1. I was the first and now the fifth owner of the car. I traded the Mach 1 in on a 2011 GT500 in 2010 and then I was able to buy back the Mach 1 In March of 2017. It was sold with 38,000 miles on it and I bought it back 7 years later with 110,000 miles.
